I wish I was a snowflake. I would be different. Unique. Special. I would be someone I wanted to be and not someone else. I would have a life. A real one. I would be free.
It all started on Christmas Eve in the year 2007. The neighborhood was quiet, except for the trees rustling in the wind and some dogs barking at the unknown. Christmas colors filled the streets and decorative Santa figurines lined up alongside the mailboxes covered in white snow. In the middle of the neighborhood was a house. In that particular house there was a girl sitting by her window, gazing at the stars in the night sky. The light illuminated her face and if she was not alone, one could clearly see the tears rolling down her face. She heaved a deep and long sigh and closed her eyes, taking in the twinkling of the stars.
“No one understands me.”
